We are a firm deeply aware of the importance of social coexistence and harmony, and we maintain a dedicated free legal advisory practice for individuals who, due to their personal circumstances, are unable to afford private legal services\u2014providing them with the same quality of attention as clients who pay professional fees.<\/p><p>Pro bono is a Latin term meaning \u201cfor the public good,\u201d and refers to the voluntary and free provision of legal services to individuals with limited resources, vulnerable sectors or groups, civil society organizations, and entities that promote causes of collective public interest.<\/p><p>The firm ensures specialized supervision in each of these matters and consistently encourages its attorneys and legal interns to take on pro bono cases.<\/p><p>A significant milestone was reached in 2009, when the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, A.C.) awarded the Pro Bono Award to our founding partner, Antonio Ar\u00e1mburu, for the firm\u2019s free professional services in favor of patients at the Hospital Gustavo Baz Prada for Chronic and Geriatric Patients, located in Tepexpan, Acolman, State of Mexico. These efforts successfully prevented the forced eviction of patients by state authorities in December 2007 and led to the signing of an agreement in which the government committed to continue providing regular medical care, adapt adequate spaces for that purpose, and allow patients to return to the hospital\u2019s main building once renovations were completed.<\/p><p>The firm has also played a significant role in providing legal advice to Mexicanos Primero A.C. across various judicial forums.
