Constitutional controversies are legal proceedings through which conflicts are resolved between two branches of the Federal Government (Legislative and Executive), the branches of State Governments (Legislative, Executive, and Judicial), the branches of the Government of Mexico City (Legislative, Executive, and Judicial), or between different levels of government—Federal, State, Municipal, or Mexico City—due to jurisdictional overreach or any violation of the Federal Constitution by the parties involved. These proceedings fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN). Our firm provides advisory services for the exercise of this constitutional oversight mechanism.
